Weekly lessons

So I had my weekly violin lesson tonight and my teacher told me that I've improved alot in the last few weeks.  I think the only thing that's holding me back to play even better is myself.  I have this total mental block of being scared of messing up instead of just enjoying the moment and having fun.  I think once I master that and get the confidence within myself that I am good and that I can play that things will just fall into place.  Gotta keep moving, I will not give up on this.

Portland Saturday Market

What a nice sunny day in Portland this weekend.  Have to take full advantage of it so my friend Clark and I spent it at the Portland Saturday Market.  I wasn't the only one with that idea, the place was packed.  I hope there are more sunny days to come soon.  If Jimmy Hendrixs can rise from the grave, anything's possible.

Homeless to Hopeful

Today I volunteered at the United Way Homeless Event at Qwest Field.  It just makes you appreciate how much you have to be thankful for in your life when there are people out there that for whatever there circumstance is are homeless and really need help.  Makes alot of my petty problems in life seem not so dire.  It's great that there are organizations and people willing to help these people get back on their feet and not give up hope on them.  You never know if someday that may be you.  My mom always says, "don't always look up, look down."  Thanks mom.

Laughter is always the best medicine

So I went to a comedy show tonight.  It was awesome.  Tony Rock at the Parlor in Bellevue was definitely the place to be tonight.  Even the opening acts were hilarious.  It's always nice to be out with friends, eat, drink and just have a great time.  That's enjoying life.  Good night world...
