Call me Miss Suzy homemaker

Took me hours to cut, measure and sew but it is finally done.  My first teardrop bag.  Very excited that it looks like how it's suppose to.  I don't know how people can do this all day long, especially for fun.  I enjoy it but I go into a sewing project with a mission not for relaxation.  Again it's about being patient and enjoying the process, a problem I seem to have with all my hobbies.  I wonder if I recreate this it'll take me half the time...

Damn Socks Part 2

Ok the results of last night's ordeal.  I think overall it was a success.  I actually slept through the night which was a shock.  I did wake up in the middle of the night with slight convulsions of uncomfortableness but I conquered.  The end result is it is possible for me to be with naked feet but I really prefer not to be.

So I've been watching this show called picky eaters and it's about people that only eat one type of food.  I don't know how someone can only eat french fries but they're out there.  It stems from a traumatic experience and they use that as a comfort for something painful in there life.  Ok, so I have this weird comfort thing with my socks where I have to wear them all the time or else things are just not right in my world.  Not that I had a traumatic experience regarding this but it does stem from a comment to me when I was a kid.  I'm going to spend a night without them and see how it goes.  Can't even promise I'll make it through the night but I'll try.  This is so silly but I could be going through socks detox in the middle of the night.  More to follow...

Learn something new!

So I signed up for a glassblowing class today.  It was really more of a fun thing to do with a friend.  But lately I've had this inkling to be a life student.  This wasn't always the case but now I feel realized that there are so many great skills to know that why not learn a little bit of alot of things.  Currently I'm taking a computer class and I just signed up for another sewing class.  I will be a professional tote bag maker before I know it.  Still trying to master my violin so that is a work in progress.  Hmm what would be next, fencing possibly?  You never know...
